Four full bands of Valenciennes lace and pintucking trim the full skirt and finished with lace frill t.Bodice has traditional mid  victorian  neckline which adjusts with drawstring and is pintucked and lace trimmed too . the sleeves also feature pintucks and lace t. An absolute showstopper of a robe and an heirloom gift.

Nape of neck to hem is 44inches and chest measures 26 inches.

We are in love with this gown! Exceptionally beautiful and in excellent condition well over 150 years old

Empire cut- no bodice and robe falls from intricate tucking to shoulders to give fullness to the gown.Hand made from fine linen lawn with fillet stitching on seams (see close ups in our photogallery) Embroidery to front of dress and a lace trimmed hem. Fine details on sleeves which are fixed with small nacre buttons.

Linen lawn is very fine fabric and this would look exquisite with a lining dress of blue or pink (as the case may be) worn underneath.We cannot find any marks or holes- even pinprick in thei robe.In our opinion, it can properly be described as heirloom or museum quality
